Welcome From The Manager

The first day of vacation is always exciting and I know you can't wait to get here! Please remember arrival begins at 4 pm and, unless an earlier arrival time is approved by the owner or rental agent, I am not allowed to approve an earlier time. A lot of activity occurs on arrival and departure days such as housekeeping and maintenance so I hope you understand that time is necessary to ensure those things are done correctly.

If you are using GPS, the property address is 1704 N. Lumina Avenue, Wrightsville Beach, NC  28480. When you arrive at the property, drive straight toward the building to the circle, pulling as far to the right as safe to allow other vehicles to go around you.

Luggage and shopping carts are located in the lobby area across from the elevators. Once you unload, please return those immediately for others to use.

The owner or rental agent should provide you the location where your arrival packet will be left for you. There is a separate box for those packets and they will be put in the box at 4 pm on arrival day. Please do not call or come by the office for your packet.

Your packet will be labeled with your name and will contain two sets of keys to the condo, 2 key fobs for the lobby and 1 parking pass. If you require a second parking pass, please notify the owner or rental agent PRIOR to arrival.

The Islander is a 10-story condominium and each floor has the same layout of 6 units per floor, identified A through F from right to left of each hallway. With the exception of the first floor, a laundry room is on each floor across from the elevators. These machines are free for you to use but please remove all laundry promptly so others can use as well.

To access the pool and beach, you must come through the lobby, exit the building and follow the sidewalk to the left around the building. The gates to access the pool from the sidewalk or the beach are operated with a code system. The owner or rental agent should provide this code to you.

Glass is never allowed in the pool or cabana area.

Rafts, boogie boards, surf boards or other large items are never allowed in the pool. Children floating and safety aids are allowed. All children not yet trained must wear swim diapers.

Restrooms are located at the cabana and the code is the same as the entry gates.

Two gas grills are located by the cabana for your convenience. There is no need to reserve but please be considerate of others waiting in line to use them. To turn on the gas, there is a post between the grills; turn the red lever to be in line with the post. Be sure to turn off the gas when finished. It can be a bit windy in this area of the property so please close the lid before pressing the igniter button. Again, don't forget to turn off the gas when finished.

The cabana and pool area is intended to be for the enjoyment of everyone on property. Private or large functions are not allowed in this area from May through September. Private functions outside of those months must be approved by the Manager.

The Town of Wrightsville Beach does not allow glass, alcohol or smoking on the beach.

Who could blame you for being a little sad on departure day? I really hope your visit to The Islander lived up to your expectations and your time here was filled with sunshine and laughter!

Please plan to depart no later than 11 am. All information provided to you upon arrival should be left in the same box when you leave.

The safety of everyone at The Islander is very important. We have a 24 hour video surveillance system on property and we will utilize that system to investigate any security or rule violations.

The Islander recently upgraded the lobby access system to operate with an electronic key fob rather than traditional keys. You will be provided two key fobs upon arrival. Please keep careful control of these key fobs are your rental agreement may require an additional fee for any lost or not returned. Please avoid jumping in the pool or ocean with them as that could damage them.

The Islander tries to maintain regular office hours;  however, we have a small staff so please understand those hours may be adjusted. You must always have your key and key fob with you when you leave the building.

Please do not smoke in any of the hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms or lobby. Smoking is only permitted outside of the building and all items must be extinguished in on the of cigarette receptacles. Please do not extinguish smoking items in our plants or on the ground.

The Islander prides itself upon maintaining a casual, friendly environment for the enjoyment of all owners and guests. Please refrain from using foul language or excessive drinking in our common areas.
